Acute Psychiatric Emergencies
At the Bellevue Hospital’s Emergency Room, we have a team inclusive of specialist trained staff members with expertise in assessing and initiating treatment of patients presenting with acute emergencies.
Admissions to the hospital are guided by the hospital’s Emergency Room admission policy and protocol.
Patients are only admitted to Bellevue Hospital for psychiatric reasons.
We serve a wide cross-section of patients from all over the island including patients referred from other institutions. The hospital has 56 male and 20 female bed compliments for Acute Psychiatric Emergencies.
The Emergency Room opens for service between the hours of 8:00 am and 10:00 pm everyday including public holidays.
