Candiece Knight is a communications specialist with over 10 years’ experience in digital and traditional media. She graduated from the University of the West Indies (CARIMAC), with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism, with a minor in Cultural Studies. She is the first to fill the newly created Public Relations Manager at Bellevue Hospital Jamaica, having joined the BVH family in July 2023.
With over 7 years’ experience in journalism at the Jamaica Observer, and two years as Public Relations & Corporate Social Responsibility at Sagicor Group Jamaica, Candiece has honed her skills in communication and community engagement, particularly in the areas of healthcare, gender issues and community development. She has consistently garnered awards from the Press Association of Jamaica and companies where she has worked, and she remains deeply involved in both her professional endeavors and community initiatives.
In addition to managing the content and engagement on Bellevue Hospital’s digital platforms, and building relationships with the institution and external stakeholders, Candiece volunteers with patients in the Hospital’s Occupational Therapy Department, where she started the Beautiful Minds Performing Arts Group.
Her personal motto is “Never a failure; always a lesson,” and her greatest joy is her son, Kymani, who illuminates her world.
